I am a diabetic and insulin dependent. I have always kept my insulin flexpens in the refrigerator, both the Novolog Flexpen and the Levemir Flexpen, I was cleaning out my bag that I keep my supplies in and found a Novolog Flexpen in the bottom of the bag. It's not expired and has never been opened or had a needle put on it so it hasn't been punctured but obviously it hasn't been refrigerated for more than probably 3 months. Should I just dispose of the flexpen or is it still good to use? My Novolog is 289$ bc of beginning of the year deductible and it's still so expensive after that as well. Anyone know of any of the coupon deals or apps such that will work with a Medicare advantage plan, Humana, bc the couple that I mentioned do not. I appreciate any advice and/or answers.
